Professional II (Level 10):
This class meets: Monday-Thursday from 9:00am-1:30pm or Monday-Tuesday from 9:00am-6:30pm
8 week session.
In this course, students will further improve their reading comprehension skills and continue to write well-structured paragraphs and essays. Specifically, students will learn to use a variety of pre-reading strategies to become more effective readers and to identify main and supporting ideas of a text. Students will conclude their focus on phrasal verbs to become experts in identifying and using phrasal verbs in their speech and writing. Students will be well versed in speaking about a variety of different topics from religion to poverty to culture. Students will become fluent in a variety of different writing techniques and strategies in speaking to better express themselves effectively. In addition, students will conduct basic internet searches and use word-processing software to write, edit, and format written assignments.
Prerequisite: Successful completion of Level 1-9 or receive a passing score on the IEP Level 9 test
