Level 6

High Intermediate (Level 6):

This class meets: Monday-Thursday from 9:00am-1:30pm or Monday-Tuesday from 9:00am-6:30pm

8 week session.

This course is designed for students who have a stronger knowledge of English grammar and composition. Students at this level can speak English in increasingly advanced situations. They will be able to converse on technical and specific topics relating to friendship, fashion, personal beliefs, hobbies, technology, lifestyle changes, animals, and people who have made an impact on the student. A focus of this class will be to implement increasingly complex grammatical structures into spoken (and written) communication while maintaining fluidity and fluency of expression. The student will write persuasive, opinion, informative, and narrative pieces. It will focus on discussion between students, delving into their personal opinions of topics.

Prerequisite: Successful completion of Level 1-5 or receive a passing score on the IEP Level 5 test or appropriate score on placement test
